12 to 15 years of age: We aim to provide the same experience as for Primary schools, but using language more age appropriate.

We can provide teachers wishing to prepare the children for the visit with the fictional story of Barnabé, a French soldier (in the form of his diary) who found himself in the midst of the Battle of Waterloo.

This text can be downloaded free of charge { L’histoire de Barnabé, soldat français dans la Grande Armée, Extrait de son journal, juin 1815}, as well as a document detailing the living conditions of soldiers in 1815.

16 to 18 years of age: We feel that young people of this age can understand the events as would an adult. Your guide will touch on certain subjects enabling comparison between our current lifestyles and those of 1815, such as transportation, communications, and supply chains.

We aim to help young people understand the causes of this battle, the reasons it took place in Belgium, all within the context of European History. The human aspects of the battle, and its aftermath, will also be highlighted.
